Thank you for all the well wishes and offers of assistance following a direct hit from Hurricane Beryl (Category 1). We are back in the office today as the power has been restored.
There are several in our county who are still without power including some FEWA staff homes. Dealing with heat index values up to 105 degrees is most challenging without electricity and air conditioning, but we are doing ok as a community with many businesses open and cooling facilities available for those in need.
Rest assured your FEWA staff is prepared for these emergency situations–we have the capability to work remotely. All phone lines are working, so please give us a call if you need any immediate assistance.
