For Taelor Fletcher, helping employers navigate the complexities of the H-2 visa process is more than a job—it’s an opportunity to make a real difference in the success of FEWA members and their businesses.

Born and raised in Bay City, Texas, Taelor has deep roots in the community that also serves as headquarters for the Federation of Employers and Workers of America (FEWA).

She came to work for FEWA in May 2023 after spotting a Facebook post promoting an opening for a Member Guide position. The role immediately caught her attention, and today she can’t imagine being anywhere else. Before FEWA, Taelor spent the majority of her career in customer service where she developed the communication and problem-solving skills that would prove invaluable in her current role.

As a Member Guide, she works closely with employers throughout the H-2 visa process, serving as a trusted resource and helping members understand each step along the way.

What she enjoys most about her work is hearing directly from members when their hard work pays off.

“The best part is when members tell us how thankful they are for receiving their employees and having a successful season,” Taelor says. “Knowing I helped them get there is incredibly rewarding.”

Like many FEWA team members, Taelor understands that the immigration process can be challenging. One of the most difficult aspects of her job is navigating government changes, shifting regulations, and unexpected delays that can impact timelines.

“A big part of my job is helping members understand government regulations and what’s happening throughout the process. Once they have that clarity, they’re usually much more comfortable moving forward,” she explains.

Taelor credits much of her job satisfaction to the people she works alongside every day. She describes the 11-person FEWA office as a close-knit team that functions more like family than coworkers.

“Everyone is willing to help whenever someone needs it,” she says. “We all genuinely get along and support each other.”

When she’s not helping FEWA members, Taelor enjoys spending time with her husband, Micheal, and their two sons, Jayce, 13, and Brayden, 9. Family life often revolves around youth sports, with both boys playing travel baseball during the summer and fall seasons. This fall, Brayden will add football to his schedule as well.

The family also enjoys camping trips, outdoor adventures, and spending quality time together. In quieter moments, Taelor relaxes by working on jigsaw puzzles.

Whether she’s assisting members through a complicated process or cheering from the sidelines at a baseball game, Taelor brings the same qualities to everything she does: patience, dedication, and a genuine desire to help others succeed.
