Enthusiastic about its Mission, Brandi Finds Joy Among FEWA Members and Staff
Brandi Riha-Cowan has been an integral staff member of the FEWA team since 2007, serving as the development coordinator and a member guide. She specializes in guiding FEWA members through the H-2A and H-2B programs and simplifying these processes.
Known for her willingness to assist colleagues, Brandi is dedicated to improving internal procedures. She has been responsible for updating and developing FEWA’s internal H-2A/B process, making it more efficient for both members and staff. Her efforts have significantly improved the user experience and operational workflow within the organization.
Enthusiastic about FEWA’s mission, Brandi finds joy in the organization’s dedication to its members. She emphasizes the importance of continuous learning and adaptability in her role, staying updated with industry changes and technological advancements. Holding an associate degree in criminal justice from Wharton Junior College, her educational background supports her expertise and effectiveness in her role at FEWA.
Brandi lives in Van Vleck, Texas, where she appreciates the close-knit community and its beautiful surroundings. The town’s supportive environment complements her professional life, allowing her to balance work and family seamlessly.
Outside of work, Brandi enjoys spending time with her family, watching her daughters play sports, reading, and baking. She’s been married to her husband, Chuck, for 16 years and appreciates how supportive he is of her career. They have two daughters, Addison, age 13, and Piper, 11, who are both active in sports, including soccer and volleyball.
Brandi values the time they spend together as a family, whether it’s cheering on their girls at their games or enjoying a quiet evening at home.
Brandi highlighted the importance of resilience and continuous learning. She advises new FEWA members to stay curious, be patient, and persist through challenges.
She appreciates the strong sense of camaraderie among the FEWA staff. “We all get along like family. There is no place like this. We want to be here and do the best for our members,” she said.
