On July 10, 2023, the U.S. Department of Labor announced that it received applications for more than 33,000 visas during the initial 3 day filing window for the Fiscal Year 2024 1st half cap. This is the first time this has occurred in the 1st half of the year and the earliest it has ever happened.
In June, the House Appropriations Committee passed the FY ’24 Homeland Security appropriations bill that includes a one-year returning worker exemption with a three-year look back. This is a very important first step in H-2B Cap Relief.
Join FEWA’s lobbying partner, Laurie Flanagan and FEWA’s Vice President, Arnulfo Hinojosa in a live discussion on what this means for the H-2B 2024 season.
